EPL: Eddie Howe Returns To Newcastle After Recovering From Pneumonia

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has returned to work at the club’s training centre following his recovery from pneumonia. The Premier League club confirmed his return on Thursday. Howe, 47, had been hospitalized earlier this month and missed several league matches, including those against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.

“Newcastle United are delighted to confirm that Eddie Howe has returned to his duties at the club’s training centre,” the club said.

“Eddie had recently been hospitalised with pneumonia and has now returned to work after a period of recovery.

“We thank supporters for their warm wishes.”

Newcastle, currently in fifth place and fresh off their League Cup victory, will face struggling Ipswich on Saturday as they look to regain their form in their bid for a Champions League spot. The top five teams in the Premier League will secure a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool are on the verge of clinching the league title, with Arsenal favored for second. The race for third is tight, with just four points separating Manchester City in third and Aston Villa in seventh.
