Jacob Vandi has officially assumed the role of technical adviser for the Nigeria National League (NNL) team Ekiti United. Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, who serves as the Ekiti State Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development, introduced Vandi to the club’s supporters.
Vandi takes over for Idris Bolarinwa, who vacated the position following the conclusion of the previous campaign. Bolarinwa concluded his tenure after leading the squad to a third-place finish in Conference B of the NNL.
The incoming coach enters the role with a solid history in domestic football, most notably managing Ekiti Queens FC to a respectable mid-table result during the 2025-26 season. Under Vandi’s leadership, the club aims to improve upon last year’s standing as they push for a promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
