Frank Idehen Osifo, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Edo South Senatorial District, has called upon party faithful to set aside internal grievances and form a cohesive front to unseat the All Progressives Congress in the upcoming elections. Osifo argues that a unified party is essential to overcome what he labels as the negative impacts of current governance.
Highlighting widespread insecurity under APC leadership, Osifo emphasized the need for impactful legislation to resolve national and local crises. He stated that his candidacy centers on the aspirations of ordinary citizens, including struggling traders, farmers, and unemployed graduates, rather than personal ambition. He pledged to act as a bridge builder, encouraging members to move past primary election disputes to ensure collective success.
Addressing the disconnect between previous representatives and the electorate, Osifo promised to remain an accessible senator who prioritizes constituent feedback and development. He intends to sponsor legislation aimed at restoring security so that farmers and business owners can operate without fear. Osifo expressed gratitude for his nomination and remains optimistic that a united PDP will secure victory at the polls.
