Agents from the Department of State Services, working alongside Zamfara State security forces, have successfully liberated the final four students abducted from the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda. Authorities report that the captives returned without physical harm and confirm that no ransom was exchanged for their freedom.
These students were among six individuals taken during a June 3, 2026, raid on their off-campus housing in the Low-cost district of Kaura Namoda. While two of the original six victims were released previously, intelligence-driven operations continued until the remaining four were safely recovered, providing significant relief to their families and the school community.
Despite these reports, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Zamfara State Command, stated he has no official knowledge of the rescue operation and offered no additional information regarding the situation.
