Digital Creator English Alhaji Receives Death Threats from Bandits Following Viral Commentary

Prominent Nigerian internet personality English Alhaji has declared his life to be at risk after being directly contacted by armed bandits.

The creator posted a video to his Instagram account detailing the interaction. This follows a previous video where English Alhaji criticized youths in the Achepe community of Nasarawa State for surrendering captured bandits to military authorities rather than dealing with them directly.

During his previous commentary, he had urged local residents to eliminate captured attackers immediately, arguing that handing them over to security forces would only lead to their eventual release or reintegration. He expressed strong disapproval of the decision to spare the lives of those caught with AK-47 rifles.

In his latest update, English Alhaji revealed that he received a WhatsApp video call from individuals identifying as bandits who were angered by his public advice. The caller displayed ammunition while threatening the creator, explicitly warning that they intended to retaliate against him using the same methods he had encouraged others to use against them.

He noted that the callers showed their faces openly, expressing alarm at their boldness and his realization of the direct danger he now faces due to his outspoken stance on the issue.
