Afrobeats artist Davido made an appearance at a campaign event in Osun State to support his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke. The singer arrived on Thursday as election efforts ramped up for the August 15 vote, where the governor is pursuing a second term.
Footage captured Davido navigating a dense crowd alongside the governor’s son, Sina Adeleke. The pair eventually reached the stage with assistance from the audience. Once onstage, the singer embraced his uncle before they performed a dance routine set to Davido’s song, Feel.
Davido has committed significant time to the re-election bid. Earlier this year, he announced a temporary break from his music career to aid the campaign. He currently serves as the chairman of the Imole Youth Campaign Mobilisation Team, actively engaging with local groups including motorcycle and tricycle operators to boost youth voter turnout.
