Musical artist David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, and APC member Bashir Ahmad appear headed for a potential encounter in Osun State this Tuesday. The tension follows their recent public disagreement after President Bola Tinubu spoke with Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle.
Davido publicly celebrated the interaction on social media, claiming he observed the moment in person. Bashir Ahmad, once a presidential media assistant, responded by suggesting that the singer would soon be complaining about the upcoming August 15 election results. The artist retaliated by mocking Ahmad’s unsuccessful bid in the recent APC primaries and criticizing his record during his eight years in government service.
The feud escalated when Ahmad confirmed his travel plans to the state capital of Osogbo starting August 11 to participate in APC campaign activities. As the election date nears, the contest between APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji and the incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has become increasingly competitive.
