City Boy Movement Focuses on National Development, Says Seyi Tinubu

Seyi Tinubu and other leaders at the City Boy Movement national retreat highlighted the organization’s evolution into a grassroots platform dedicated to national development and supporting government reforms.

Seyi Tinubu, patron of the City Boy Movement, recently announced that the group has transitioned from its origins as a campaign organization into a nationwide collective focused on national development and active citizen engagement. During the group’s national retreat in Abuja, speakers emphasized the necessity of grassroots involvement and increased participation from the youth to support the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Addressing the attendees at the State House, Seyi Tinubu noted that the movement now serves as a network of patriots dedicated to serving Nigeria. He praised the participants for their selfless commitment, urging them to avoid complacency while preparing for future challenges. Regarding the current administration’s policies, he acknowledged the economic and security hurdles President Bola Tinubu inherited, noting that the government is implementing significant reforms to stabilize the nation. He advised members to communicate these policies with both empathy and factual accuracy.

Director-General Francis Shoga revealed that the organization aims to secure 10 million youth votes for President Tinubu in the upcoming election through dedicated community-level work. Meanwhile, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmoud, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, both encouraged the youth to take a more active role in governance and nation-building. The retreat concluded with a call for continued unity and expanded grassroots outreach to strengthen the impact of the Renewed Hope vision.
