The Christians in Politics (CIP) organization has urged President Bola Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and local security services to prioritize the apprehension of those responsible for the deaths of nearly 30 individuals in Naridon village, located in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The victims were primarily women and children.
CIP denounced the incident as an act of terror, stating that the intentional targeting of civilians is immoral and a violation of the constitutional rights to life and religious freedom in Nigeria. Dr. Shallangwa Hassana, the National Coordinator for CIP, expressed deep sorrow and outrage regarding the coordinated July 27, 2026, attack on the residents of Kamaru Ward.
Reports indicate that all victims were Christians who were killed during the assault, which also left three people injured and resulted in the destruction of homes and businesses by fire. Hassana has requested that federal and state authorities dispatch security forces to the region to locate and prosecute the attackers. Furthermore, the organization advocated for immediate humanitarian aid for the displaced and suffering families while calling on security agencies to fulfill their duty to protect all citizens impartially. The statement concluded with a plea for Nigerians to reject violence and a message of sympathy for the grieving community in Kaduna.
