Following Ghana’s departure from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, head coach Carlos Queiroz stated he has not finalized plans regarding his professional future. The Black Stars were knocked out after a 1-0 defeat to Colombia during their Round of 32 match held at Kansas City Stadium on Saturday.
Colombia secured the victory early when Jhon Arias netted the winning goal in the 14th minute. Throughout the match, Ghana struggled to create offensive opportunities and finished without placing a single attempt on target. Queiroz, who joined the Ghana Football Association on a brief deal this March after Otto Addo was dismissed, declined to address his status with the team directly. Speaking to Sporty TV, the 73-year-old manager remarked that his immediate priority is to rest before considering any subsequent career steps.
