Benin Ligue 1 side Buffles du Borgou has officially named Stanley Eguma as their manager for the approaching season, as reported by DAILY POST. This appointment marks the first occasion the Nigerian coach has taken a role at an international club.
Eguma enters the position with an extensive background in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL). He previously served as an assistant for the U-23 Eagles and achieved significant success by guiding Rivers United to a league title victory during the 2021/22 campaign. During his eight-year tenure with Rivers United, he held the distinction of being the longest-serving coach in the NPFL.
Beyond his time at Rivers United, the CAF A license holder also managed Enyimba, a club that has secured nine league championships. Buffles du Borgou aims to utilize his tactical expertise to assemble a roster capable of competing for trophies in Benin.
