Bologna initiate discussions for Rangers player Raskin

Bologna start talks for Nico Raskin while Rangers close in on re-signing Ross McCrorie, and Manchester United eyes Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

Bologna have launched initial discussions with Rangers concerning a potential transfer for 25-year-old midfielder Nico Raskin. Meanwhile, the new Ibrox manager, Derek McInnes, is reportedly keen on recruiting Scotland international Lewis Ferguson. Hull City has submitted a bid for Raskin estimated between £12m and £14m, though Rangers are holding out for a fee closer to £20m.

In other Ibrox developments, Rangers have reached an agreement to re-sign defender Ross McCrorie from Bristol City for approximately £1.5m. The 28-year-old has finished his medical examination and is set to sign a three-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year. Conversely, Rangers have opted out of pursuing Westerlo right-back Bryan Reynolds, as Rennes has placed a £3.3m offer for the 24-year-old.

Across the league, former player Charlie Mulgrew has expressed worry regarding Celtic’s quiet transfer period, suggesting the squad requires at least six new additions. Dundee is actively seeking a new goalkeeper ahead of their upcoming match in Hungary, with head coach Steven Pressley indicating that talks are nearly finalized. Additionally, Verona is seeking £9 million for striker Kieron Bowie, while Manchester United has identified Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn as a potential signing following his departure from Nottingham Forest. Finally, Motherwell midfielder Callum Slattery is nearing a transfer to Sheffield Wednesday.
