The Bauchi State Government has extended heartfelt sympathy to Kebbi State following the brutal attack on Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in the Danko Wasagu area.
In a statement released on Thursday by Jalaludeen Maina, spokesperson for the Bauchi Ministry of Education, the state described the incident as a devastating setback not just for Kebbi, but for Nigeria’s entire education sector.
The attack, carried out on Monday, claimed the lives of the school’s vice principal and a security guard, while 25 female students were abducted.
Standing in solidarity with the victims’ families and the people of Kebbi, the Bauchi Government expressed hope for the safe return of the abducted girls and extended sincere condolences to those who lost loved ones.
The statement also commended ongoing security efforts to rescue the students and restore normalcy.
Reaffirming its support, the Bauchi Ministry of Education called for unified action to protect schools and ensure the safety of learners nationwide, a reminder of the urgent need to shield education from the violence that continues to threaten communities.
