Authorities in Taraba State have taken two individuals into custody following a lethal confrontation at Angwan Kassa junction in Jalingo. The victim, who was responsible for distributing commercial tricycle union passes, was stabbed during a disagreement over a required daily ticket.
According to reports, the fatal fight began when the distributor confronted a tricycle driver for failing to purchase the mandatory pass. The argument quickly intensified, resulting in the victim suffering fatal wounds. ASP Victor Mshelizah, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed that the two suspects are currently being questioned and will face legal proceedings once the investigation wraps up.
The violent event caused significant local disruption. Tricycle operators working the route between Area Command Junction, Angwan Kassa, and Deeper Life Camp have ceased operations, leaving many passengers stranded and forced to walk to find other transportation options.
