The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has stated that Nigerians require the tangible improvements associated with democracy rather than facing recurring bloodshed and destruction. This assertion follows Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde’s procurement of surveillance planes to bolster local security.
The pair of DA 42 MNG aircraft are designed to detect targets from various flight elevations. Dr. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, who serves as both the APM National Chairman and the head of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), argued that the primary duty of government is the protection of its people.
Dantalle noted that these tools, when managed correctly, will assist the Amotekun Corps and other security branches in fighting kidnapping, terrorism, and banditry across Oyo State. The APM encouraged authorities to place the protection of lives and assets above personal political agendas.
The party reiterated that the core purpose of a democratic system is the prosperity of the public. They committed to working toward a stable and fair nation that will serve as a source of pride for those to come.
