The Allied People’s Movement (APM) recently announced that its 2027 presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, intends to implement his regional security framework across Nigeria. This initiative highlights the recent purchase of two surveillance aircraft as a core component of his strategy to improve public safety.
National Chairman of the APM, Dr. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, commended the acquisition of the DA 42 MNG intelligence and reconnaissance planes. He noted that these assets demonstrate a governance style that prioritizes civilian safety. By utilizing advanced technology for target detection at varying altitudes, the party believes these tools will assist the Amotekun Corps and other security services in curbing kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism.
Dantalle stated that if elected in 2027, Makinde would utilize this same proactive methodology to steer the country toward development. The party maintains that this approach aligns with the 1999 Constitution’s mandate to treat the welfare and security of citizens as the government’s top priority. The APM has encouraged the public to back their candidates, promising that national unity and enhanced security would remain their primary focus.
