Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted on Thursday that Governor Ademola Adeleke has hindered development in Osun State since taking power. During an APC rally in Osogbo, Basiru criticized the governor’s performance in sectors including road infrastructure, education, and electricity.
Basiru stated that despite increased federal allocations under President Tinubu’s administration, the state has seen little progress. He alleged that the current government is focused on the misappropriation of public funds rather than public service. He pointed to a lack of new teaching positions and unfinished road projects in Osogbo as evidence of failure.
Urging voters to support the APC candidate, Basiru described his party’s pick as someone with the necessary governing experience. He dismissed accusations of potential election rigging from the ruling party, asserting that the APC has the electoral support required to secure a win on Saturday.
