APC Leader Predicts Osun Election Success Following Ekiti Win

APC chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye predicts that the party’s recent electoral success in Ekiti will repeat itself during the Osun governorship race on August 15.

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) figure in Osun, believes the party’s success in the recent Ekiti governorship election serves as a blueprint for the upcoming August 15 vote in Osun. Addressing reporters in Osogbo, Oyintiloye labeled the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as a significant and well-deserved achievement that highlights the electorate’s faith in progressive policies.

He emphasized that the landslide victory in Ekiti proves that a unified party focused on grassroots engagement is difficult to defeat. Oyintiloye credited the party’s national leadership, including Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, for fostering a strong internal structure. He also recognized the efforts of Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, in maintaining momentum within the Osun chapter since 2022.

With plans to mobilize voters across all wards, Oyintiloye expressed full confidence in the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji. He described Oyebamiji as a capable and experienced choice for the state. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Governor Oyebanji secured his new term with 319,224 votes, comfortably outpacing challengers from the PDP and ADC.
