While Neymar officially ended his international career following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, Casemiro and Danilo have yet to address their status with the national squad.
Speaking to the broadcaster Ge, Ancelotti noted that the recent World Cup represented the conclusion of an era for influential players. He specifically highlighted that athletes who were over 30 during the tournament, such as Casemiro and Danilo, are no longer part of the path forward. The manager intends to identify fresh recruits to integrate into the team, though he plans to retain select experienced figures like Marquinhos to provide continuity.
