Anambra Patriots asserts its independence from political parties, focusing instead on merit-based support for candidates, while celebrating the recent government appointments of its professional members.

The Anambra Patriots, an advocacy group focused on governance, recently clarified that they remain indifferent to the shifting popularity of political parties. Instead, the organization prioritizes evaluating individual candidates to determine who best serves the state’s interests ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During a reception in Awka, Chairman Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi emphasized that the group maintains no formal party affiliations. Their primary goal is to mobilize support for qualified aspirants across the state’s 21 local government areas. The event specifically celebrated members appointed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, including Works Commissioner Architect Okechukwu Ezeobi and ICT Agency head Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata.

Igwe Sir Ben Emeka, the traditional ruler of Umueri, presided over the ceremony. He praised Governor Soludo for selecting leaders based on merit and professional integrity rather than political maneuvering. The honorees received commemorative gifts from the group’s leadership.

In their remarks, the appointees pledged to uphold high standards of service. Architect Ezeobi credited his achievements to perseverance and divine support, while Agbata highlighted plans to continue driving digital transformation and technological advancement within the state government. The group reaffirmed its commitment to fostering progress through accountable public service.
