Aisha Yesufu, a former senatorial candidate for the Federal Capital Territory under the Nigeria Democratic Congress, asserts that supporting the All Progressives Congress equates to endorsing ongoing terrorism across the nation. The activist shared this stance on her official X account this Sunday.
This declaration arrives amid a period of heightened national insecurity, marked by frequent reports of kidnappings and homicides. Yesufu, who also co-founded the BringBackOurGirls Movement, explicitly stated that casting a ballot for the APC allows these violent groups to persist in their activities.
Furthermore, she urged all Nigerians aged 18 and older to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards. According to Yesufu, citizens hoping for positive change must recognize that their voting cards are the most effective tool to achieve it.
