With the Osun State gubernatorial race less than two weeks away, Governor Ademola Adeleke is encouraging residents to head to the polls on August 15 without fear. Speaking at Winners’ Chapel in Osogbo this past Sunday, the governor addressed concerns regarding recent electoral violence.
Through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor attributed the rising tensions to opposition groups who fear impending defeat. He insisted that the local population remains undeterred and highlighted his administration’s commitment to public safety. He urged voters to reject violent actors by casting their ballots in record numbers.
The governor expressed strong confidence in his reelection prospects, citing his track record in areas such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. He framed the upcoming election as a choice between his administration’s progress and the instability caused by political rivals. During the service, Pastor Adekunle Oluseyi led a prayer session, seeking divine guidance and endurance for the governor in his official duties.
