Political observer Adedotun Adebumiti is calling on voters in the Ondo Central Senatorial District to back former Senator Ayo Akinyelure, the African Democratic Congress candidate, for the 2027 polls. Speaking from Ifedore Local Government Area, Adebumiti highlighted the former lawmaker’s history of fostering job growth and prioritizing community needs during his initial time in office.
Adebumiti noted that Akinyelure’s previous stint from 2011 to 2015 provided significant advantages to the six local government areas within the district. He praised the former senator’s accessibility, pointing to his history of helping constituents secure roles in various federal agencies, including the police and immigration services. According to Adebumiti, these achievements prove his dedication to public service, regardless of specific party labels.
The advocate also voiced frustration regarding the current management of empowerment programs, suggesting that recent efforts have been marred by the unfair exclusion of some residents from beneficiary lists. He urged the electorate to prioritize candidates with proven track records and an inclusive approach to governance when casting their ballots in 2027.
