Nollywood performer Jide Awobona recently voiced his apprehension toward filming romantic kissing scenes. His unease stems from a negative past encounter where he had to film such a scene with an actress who suffered from severe halitosis.
In a discussion with Yanga FM, Awobona highlighted the potential health hazards inherent in on-screen kissing, particularly when performers have not undergone recent health screenings. He shared his personal policy regarding these scenes, stating that he avoids them if a co-star exhibits unpleasant breath.
The actor recalled a specific incident where he was forced to excuse himself to rinse his mouth after interacting with a colleague who had bad breath, an action that did not go unnoticed by the individual. Reflecting on these experiences, Awobona admitted that he often fears contracting illnesses during such performances and finds the situation exhausting.
