Nollywood performer Ikechukwu Nweke has opened up about his private struggle with colon cancer. Through a video posted on Instagram titled My Cancer Journey, he revealed that he received a diagnosis in 2025. Since then, he has incurred expenses exceeding N15 million for various medical procedures, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and essential testing.
Nweke expressed gratitude toward his family and fellow industry colleagues, specifically naming Uche Nancy, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, and Ebele Okaro for their ongoing assistance. Despite their efforts, the actor noted that the financial requirements for his continued treatment have become unsustainable.
The actor explained that his medical team insists on proceeding with the next phase of treatment to ensure the best possibility of recovery. He is now calling on the public for donations to help cover these mounting costs, emphasizing that any contribution or prayer will support his fight against the illness.
