Jeremy Doku has officially extended his tenure at Manchester City by signing a new five-year contract on Thursday. Since transferring from Rennes in 2023, the 24-year-old has established himself as a highly effective attacking force within the Premier League.
Throughout his 131 appearances for the club, Doku has tallied 22 goals and 34 assists. His contributions have been vital in securing titles, including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and the Club World Cup. Internationally, the Belgian winger has earned 48 caps and represented his nation during the World Cup.
This extension secures Doku at the Etihad Stadium until at least 2031, providing a significant lift for new manager Enzo Maresca as the season approaches on August 21. Doku noted that the tactical approach of Maresca, who took over from Pep Guardiola, influenced his decision to remain. He expressed excitement about the team’s development and his own progress under the current coaching staff.
