Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a Tuesday warning to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, claiming that President Bola Tinubu is working to remove him from his position. In a statement released by his media representative, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele asserted that the President is deeply invested in the upcoming Saturday governorship election.
This warning counters recent rumors suggesting that the President remains neutral, which emerged after he ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to unfreeze state bank accounts. Ayodele cautioned the Governor against trusting such claims, emphasizing that the President is tracking the contest closely.
The cleric further stated that the All Progressives Congress intends to secure victory through unconventional means. He advised Governor Adeleke to take all necessary precautions to protect his mandate, warning that failing to do so could lead to a difficult legal and political situation. Ayodele noted that the APC is prepared to leverage significant financial resources, executive power, and various influential forces to shift the election outcome in their favor.
