Filling stations across Nigeria supported by the Dangote Refinery, including MRS outlets, have implemented another round of price cuts for petrol. A market assessment conducted on Monday revealed that MRS stations in Abuja and nearby areas dropped their rates to N1,210 per litre, down from the previous N1,260. This reflects a reduction of N50 per litre.
Other retailers are following suit. Outlets such as AA Rano located along the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja decreased their prices by N25, bringing the cost to approximately N1,275 per litre on Monday. These adjustments follow the recent announcement from the Dangote Refinery regarding lower costs for both petrol and Automotive Gas Oil.
This marks the second price adjustment in just over a week, as these same stations previously lowered fuel costs by margins ranging between N25 and N45 per litre just eight days ago.
