Operation HADIN KAI soldiers seize ISWAP bomb components and medical stock in Borno

Operation HADIN KAI troops seized bomb-making materials and medical supplies from ISWAP fighters during a Sunday clearance operation in Borno State.

Soldiers under Operation HADIN KAI successfully compromised the logistics network of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a mission in Borno State. The operation, which took place in the Kareto region this Sunday, resulted in the seizure of various improvised explosive device (IED) components alongside a significant cache of pharmaceuticals and medical gear.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the event via an online post. Reports indicate that the 5 Brigade, supported by local hybrid forces, executed the mission at approximately 10 a.m. following tips regarding insurgent movement in the vicinity.

While the units engaged with suspected militants, the insurgents fled upon spotting the combined forces. The seized items, intended to sustain ISWAP militants, were formally documented by military officials. This mission remains a core component of the broader strategy by Operation HADIN KAI to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and sever supply routes across North-East Nigeria.
