Soldiers assigned to Sector 3 of Operation ENDURING PEACE have taken action in Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, after receiving reports of agricultural damage. The details of the intervention were released via social media by security observer Zagazola Makama.
On August 8, authorities reacted to an emergency report from Miango regarding the destruction of property owned by Yusuf John. Upon arrival at the location, military personnel discovered 55 cows consuming crops on the land. Although the individual tending the animals initially escaped, the cattle were secured for further processing.
In a secondary event in Jebbu Miango, troops investigated complaints regarding property damage linked to farmer John Isaiah. During this mission, officials apprehended a 13-year-old identified as Ibrahim. The youth is currently being held as authorities continue their inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the destruction of the farm.
