The Oyo State Police Command has successfully located and retrieved a vehicle that was reported stolen from the state. Officers tracked the stolen property all the way to Gombe State.
Authorities arrested a 21-year-old suspect named Daniel Chinada Obidiukwu in relation to the theft. According to Olayinka Ayanlade, the spokesperson for the Oyo State Police, the vehicle was originally taken from Ibadan on July 29, 2026.
Investigations indicate that Obidiukwu drove the stolen car to Gombe with the goal of selling it to an unsuspecting individual. The police have secured the vehicle as evidence while keeping the suspect in detention. Law enforcement officials noted that the investigation is ongoing to identify potential accomplices. The suspect will face formal charges in court once the inquiry is complete.
