Music artist David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, recently engaged in a heated online dispute with Bashir Ahmad, an ex-presidential spokesperson. The tension emerged after Davido shared his thoughts on a phone call between President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke, which the singer described as a historic moment.
Bashir Ahmad responded to the post by saving it, implying that Davido would soon be complaining about the upcoming August 15 governorship election results. Davido retorted by highlighting Ahmad’s unsuccessful bid during the APC primary elections, where he secured only 16 votes.
The singer continued his criticism by questioning Ahmad’s impact during his eight-year tenure under the former Buhari administration. Davido argued that despite having state support, Ahmad failed to improve conditions in his local community. He contrasted his own success in the music industry with Ahmad’s political career, labeling him an accidental politician who relies on government handouts.
