Bode George threatens legal action against Nyesom Wike over corruption claims

PDP leader Bode George plans to sue FCT Minister Nyesom Wike after Wike accused him of purchasing an Abuja property using diverted Rivers State government funds.

Peoples Democratic Party leader Bode George has announced his intention to initiate legal proceedings against FCT Minister Nyesom Wike following accusations of financial impropriety. During a recent interview, Wike questioned how George funded a property in Maitama, Abuja, suggesting the acquisition involved misappropriated money from Rivers State.

Addressing these claims during an appearance on TVC News, George dismissed the allegations entirely. He characterized Wike’s statements as unfounded and suggested the minister may have been under the influence when making them. George clarified that he purchased the residence himself and emphasized he has no connection to Rivers State funds.

The dispute escalated further as George leveled personal criticism against the former Rivers State governor. He claimed that Wike had been disowned by his own father, using the situation to question the minister’s character. George reiterated his rejection of the financial misconduct allegations, maintaining his innocence throughout the broadcast.
