Sam Amadi Criticizes APC Over Alleged Forgery

Sam Amadi has publicly urged the APC to abandon the use of forged documents following a fraudulent statement falsely attributed to a Catholic youth organization.

Sam Amadi, the former head of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, has called on the All Progressives Congress to stop using fraudulent documents. His remarks follow a controversy involving a fake statement attributed to a Catholic youth group in reaction to observations made by Cardinal John Onaiyekan.

Sharing his thoughts on X this Wednesday, Amadi emphasized that the ruling party is capable of articulating its viewpoints without relying on deceitful tactics. He stated that fabrication is inappropriate and urged the party to abandon the practice.

This criticism comes after the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria released a disclaimer regarding a document titled Our Faith Must Rise Above Partisan Politics. The organization’s leadership, including National President Gosife Kizito Eze, clarified that the document was entirely unauthorized and fraudulent. They further noted that the entity listed as the Catholic Youth Association of Nigeria does not exist. The group has asked the public to ignore the misleading text and is considering legal action against those involved in the impersonation.
