The renovation of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp located in Wamakko, Sokoto State, has reached 80 percent completion. This ₦1.7 billion initiative, commissioned by the state government, aims to modernize facilities for incoming corps members.
Architect Murtala Haliru Rabah, the project coordinator, confirmed the progress during a media site visit. He stated that SBG Enterprises and Construction Limited is adhering to all quality standards and contractual requirements. The project involves upgrading administrative buildings and residential quarters to ensure better safety and comfort for staff and corps members.
Rabah lauded Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his commitment to youth development and infrastructure improvements. The completed facility will allow the state to accommodate larger groups of service members more effectively.
On-site supervisor Kaseem Bello noted that teams are working continuously to meet the six-month delivery window. With the project past the 80 percent mark, the contractor remains confident in finishing on time.
