Pastor Caleb Ajagba, the Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, has highlighted the Abia Leadership Academy as a primary strategic move by Governor Alex Otti. He argues that this program creates a strong basis for a future cadre of ethical and transformative leaders. During his lecture titled The Demands of Stewardship at Government College, Umuahia, Ajagba spoke to the third cohort of academy participants.
He praised the Governor for prioritizing the values, character, and leadership skills of the youth, suggesting the initiative will influence the state well after the current administration concludes. According to Ajagba, this effort demonstrates a dedication to sustainable progress and purposeful governance by teaching young people accountability, discipline, and excellence.
Ajagba emphasized that the Governor’s personal leadership qualities—such as competence, vision, and integrity—act as an inspiration for the youth. He noted that the academy offers practical lessons that serve as a blueprint for those dedicated to public service. By focusing on the youth, he added, the Governor is ensuring that the core principles of innovation and public service are firmly established for the benefit of future generations.
