The club clarified that Sancho, who is currently a free agent after his contract at Old Trafford ended in June, simply used their grounds for private conditioning work. The club emphasized that no transfer negotiations were ever in progress.
Despite his high-profile career, which included a £73 million move to United and stints at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa, the club described Sancho as professional and approachable. He spent time meeting young fans and signing autographs following his practice session.
Flixton manager Alex Mortimer shared a video of the player, who complimented the quality of the pitch. The club expressed disappointment regarding the negative reaction the visit sparked, urging the public to respect his past achievements and his conduct during the private training session.
