Nigeria Flying Eagles Advance to WAFU B U-20 Semi-Finals Following Togo Victory

The Nigerian Flying Eagles advanced to the WAFU B U-20 Championship semi-finals after a 3-0 win over Togo, led by a brace from Muiz Adeleke.

Defending champions Nigeria secured their spot in the semi-finals of the WAFU B U-20 Championship with a decisive 3-0 win against Togo. This loss officially eliminated the Sparrow Hawks from the competition, following their previous 3-1 setback against Burkina Faso.

After a scoreless opening half characterized by a lack of clear chances for either side, the Flying Eagles dominated the second period. Muiz Adeleke broke the deadlock just one minute after the restart. He added his second goal of the match in the 57th minute, bringing his tournament tally to four goals in only two appearances. Abdullahi Agbeloye sealed the win with a final goal in the 85th minute.

The Flying Eagles finish atop Group B with six points and are scheduled to play Burkina Faso this Sunday.
