Former political associate Rufai Sani Hanga has publicly confronted Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso regarding his exclusion from political candidacy. During a broadcast in Kano, the senator dismissed claims that his health and age were valid reasons for barring him from seeking a deputy governorship or retaining his seat in the Senate.
Hanga asserted that he remains in better physical condition than his former ally. He specifically rejected arguments centered on his leg health, labeling them deceptive. Furthermore, he noted that Kwankwaso is actually his senior by two years. Addressing concerns regarding his fitness for office, Hanga emphasized that his physical condition has no impact on his ability to perform legislative duties. He also questioned the logic behind these age-related criticisms, comparing them to Kwankwaso’s own career trajectory as a former governor and current vice-presidential candidate.
