The Accord party remains confident that it will emerge victorious in the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship race. Party leaders are calling on the public to support their candidate, while simultaneously acknowledging the notable achievements of the current governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, during his initial tenure.
These sentiments were shared by state chairmen during a meeting with National Chairman Maxwell Mgbudem this past Friday. Mgbudem advocated for party unity and encouraged members to ignore external influences attempting to create division within the organization. He emphasized his commitment to building a robust political platform capable of winning upcoming elections.
Furthermore, Mgbudem advised members to utilize established internal dispute resolution processes to address any grievances. He highlighted that the party is focused on providing leadership that is both effective and empathetic, positioning Accord as a viable alternative for voters in both the 2026 state elections and the 2027 general elections.
