Osun Governor Adeleke Appoints Former APC Leaders to Imole Campaign Council

Governor Ademola Adeleke has restructured the Imole Campaign Council by adding former APC members who recently defected to the Accord party.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has revamped the Imole Campaign Council to incorporate former All Progressives Congress members who joined the Accord party ahead of the August 15 governorship vote. Representative Bamidele Salam, who leads the council’s media committee, confirmed the reshuffle to facilitate the integration of these new members into the party’s election strategy.

Key figures appointed to the apex council include Folorunsho Bamisayemi, Ismaila Kolawole, Tunde Alarape, and several others. Jamiu Olawumi was tapped as Director of Strategic Communications, while various leaders were assigned to committees focused on medical services, contact, and reconciliation.

Furthermore, a new Election Surveillance and Voter Education Committee has been formed, led by Yemi Lawal, to bolster monitoring efforts and voter outreach. Senator Lere Oyewumi, the campaign’s Director-General, welcomed the new appointees and noted that their expertise would prove valuable as the election approaches.
