APC gubernatorial candidate Solomon Olamilekan Adeola visited Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibikunle Amosun in Abeokuta to seek their support and guidance for his 2027 election bid.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Ogun State gubernatorial race, met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governor Ibikunle Amosun in Abeokuta on Friday. These visits were intended to secure blessings and strategic guidance for his campaign.

Speaking at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Adeola, also known as Yayi, characterized his meeting with Obasanjo as highly productive. He noted that the former President provided insights on state development and governance, which the senator intends to integrate into his official agenda. Obasanjo encouraged Adeola to maintain focus and prioritize divine guidance, sharing personal reflections on his own career path to illustrate that success often follows a higher purpose.

Following his session with Obasanjo, the senator visited his political leader, Ibikunle Amosun. Adeola described the discussion as a crucial step in fostering party unity. He expressed gratitude for the former governor’s support and emphasized that his campaign aims to ensure a unified front for the APC heading into 2027.

Amosun highlighted the necessity of cohesion within the party, rejecting the formation of factions while insisting that the primary goal remains delivering effective governance. He welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed that the party is prepared to move forward collectively. These engagements are part of a broader series of consultations Adeola is conducting with key political figures across Ogun State.
