Fenerbahce has entered discussions with Manchester City regarding a potential £7m transfer for Dutch defender Nathan Ake. Although the Turkish side claims personal terms are settled, insiders indicate that final transfer specifics are still under review. The agreement is projected to wrap up soon, with potential add-ons increasing the total value to £8.5m.
Ake, who played three times for the Netherlands during the 2026 World Cup, was previously signed by City from Bournemouth for £40m in 2020. Throughout his tenure at Etihad Stadium, the 31-year-old has secured four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, and a Champions League trophy across 177 appearances.
Given that Ake had only one year left on his contract and saw limited action under Pep Guardiola last season—making just 17 starts in total—Manchester City looked to move him this summer. Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim is spearheading the effort to recruit the defender, and the club expects him to join their training camp in Austria once administrative procedures are complete.
