To mark the occasion, organizers are arranging cultural activities around the stadium, including an authentic Fijian village and performances by traditional warriors. While Seruvakula acknowledges the challenge of playing in an opponent’s territory, he maintains that his squad is accustomed to the travel demands of international rugby. The team, led by captain Tevita Ikanivere, enters the match ranked ninth globally—two spots above Wales—following recent successes that earned them a place in this premier competition.
The squad features a blend of talent from the domestic Fiji Drua and clubs in Europe and Japan, including Semi Radradra, Josua Tuisova, and Salesi Rayasi. Having secured a 24-19 victory in their last visit to Cardiff in 2024, the team remains focused on physical readiness for the upcoming test.
