BBC to air four round-of-16 World Cup matches including England vs Mexico

Four of the World Cup’s round-of-16 matches will be broadcast live on the BBC, featuring key games like England vs Mexico and the United States vs Belgium.

England’s upcoming clash with Mexico is among four World Cup round-of-16 fixtures scheduled for live broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The Three Lions secured their spot in the next stage by narrowly defeating DR Congo 2-1 and are set to play the co-hosts at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on Monday, July 6, at 01:00 BST.

Additional coverage includes France versus Paraguay this Saturday at 22:00, following Paraguay’s penalty shootout victory over Germany. The BBC will also air the match featuring European champions Spain against either Portugal or Croatia on Monday, July 6, at 20:00. Furthermore, viewers can watch the United States face Belgium on Tuesday, July 7, at 01:00 as Mauricio Pochettino’s squad attempts to extend their tournament success.

While the BBC covers these four matches, the other four round-of-16 games will be aired on ITV.
