President Bola Tinubu praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his ability to produce tangible improvements across Abuja. Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the commissioning of the Old Keffi Road, Tinubu expressed full confidence in Wike to execute the goals of the administration’s renewed hope agenda for city residents.
During the event, Tinubu emphasized that his government prioritizes competence over political loyalty, stating that underperformers are removed while high achievers are encouraged to continue their work. He noted that Wike has effectively bridged the gap between development in the city center and the outlying area councils, ensuring balanced growth for all communities.
The President highlighted Wike’s hands-on management style, noting that his reputation for meeting deadlines and completing infrastructure projects is well-earned. Furthermore, Tinubu reinforced his commitment to finishing all government initiatives, asserting that the period of leaving public projects abandoned in Nigeria has officially come to an end.
