Authorities in Katsina State have taken five young men into custody following an assault on Hisbah Board officers. The confrontation took place in the Furagirke neighborhood of Rimi Local Government Area as officials conducted a standard mission to address local behavioral concerns.
Reports from the Rimi Local Government Hisbah Board confirm that three detainees reside in Furagirke, with the other two hailing from Yandurumma. Following an official inquiry, the suspects were disciplined for their interference. They have since confessed to their behavior and committed to halting any future disruptions of the agency’s duties.
Family members of the accused individuals have approached the board to express remorse and request mercy on behalf of their children. Meanwhile, the Hisbah Board maintains that it will continue its work to uphold moral standards and safety throughout the region.
