Delta State Mobile Court Penalizes 23 for Traffic Violations

A Delta State Mobile Court has fined 23 motorists for traffic violations, while three others were acquitted following a state-wide enforcement operation.

A Mobile Court in Delta State recently found twenty-three individuals guilty of various traffic infractions, mandating that they pay fines tailored to their specific violations. Meanwhile, three additional defendants were cleared of all charges.

Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, announced these judicial outcomes on behalf of the Delta State Police Command. The legal proceedings resulted from a broader initiative to enforce traffic laws across the region. Authorities processed twenty-six vehicles that were stopped for breaking road regulations.

Edafe stated that the operation aligns with mandates from the Inspector-General of Police. The goal is to improve road safety and maintain order by addressing dangerous driving behaviors. Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi confirmed that these enforcement activities will continue throughout the state.

Oyeniyi cautioned drivers that any future breaches of the law will lead to prosecution. He advised motorists to maintain proper vehicle documentation and strictly follow all traffic rules to avoid legal consequences.
