Vinicius Jnr Set to Commit Future to Real Madrid With New Contract

Real Madrid star Vinicius Júnior is reportedly close to signing a new contract that would secure his long-term future with the Spanish giants.

Since his £38 million move from Flamengo at age 18, the 24-year-old Brazilian has tallied 105 goals and 79 assists, helping the club to 14 trophies—including two UEFA Champions League titles.

Although his current deal runs until the summer of 2027, Vinicius’ future has sparked speculation amid reported interest from clubs, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, he was allegedly offered a five-year contract worth £830 million to play in Saudi Arabia and serve as an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup.

However,  the winger is now set to silence the rumours by extending his stay in Madrid. The new deal, expected to run until 2030, is said to be near completion.

Both Vinicius and the club reportedly share a common vision for the future, and Real Madrid are optimistic the contract will be finalized before the season concludes. Back in February, the Brazilian international—capped 39 times—hinted that his future remained firmly with Los Blancos.

‘I have a contract until 2027, but I have always said that I want to play here for a long time, to be able to make history and to receive the affection of the fans along with the president, all the players and the coaching staff,’ he said.

‘And God willing, hopefully in the next few days all the negotiations can be resolved and I can stay here for much longer.’
