Martins Vincent Otse, the social media personality widely recognized as VeryDarkMan, has demanded that authorities apprehend the Director-General of the Budget Office. He is calling for a comprehensive investigation into the nation’s financial planning procedures.
This demand followed the detention of Prince Adeniyi Matthew, who heads the Project Financial Implementation and Public-Private Partnership Commission. In an Instagram video, Otse claimed that Matthew shared confidential details regarding how the commission secured a place in the national budget through influential figures.
Otse argued that Matthew should not be the sole individual penalized, describing him as a product of long-term systemic corruption. He urged for the resignation and prosecution of the Budget Office Director-General, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and various staff members involved in the matter. Furthermore, he addressed Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, suggesting that a 15 billion naira lawsuit against Matthew is insufficient since others within the current administration likely facilitated the scheme.
